Adam Schefter makes major Aaron Rodgers prediction

Is a major move in the works?

The Football Feed

The season for the Green Bay Packers and two-time reigning National Football League Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers is officially over, having lost for the second time this season to their NFC North division rival Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.

After their loss, speculation immediately began to build as to the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers with the Packers, the only NFL team that he's ever suited up for. Of course, he was linked to other teams last offseason, but ultimately made the call to re-sign with Green Bay on a hefty extension. That doesn't mean that he is guaranteed to be back next year.

And according to notable ESPN analyst Adam Schefter, there's a serious possibility that the Packers could drive Rodgers away with their moves in the offseason.

“This will be the third straight offseason in which Aaron Rodgers’s future is the subject of much speculation, but make no mistake. Both sides are fully aware that a trade is a very real scenario this offseason for Aaron Rodgers,” Schefter said. “The Packers are expected to move on from certain players which Aaron Rodgers will probably not like.”

“But there is a real possibility that at some point this offseason, Aaron Rodgers could be traded,” the ESPN insider concluded.

It certainly would be strange to see Rodgers wearing another NFL jersey, but it sounds as though it's a distinct possibility according to Schefter.
