Could the unthinkable happen?

The Dallas Cowboys are once again left picking up the pieces after yet another disappointing playoff setback at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, meaning that once again their season ended earlier than what was expected over the summer.

And quarterback Dak Prescott is taking a massive portion of the blame, having struggled with turnovers all season before throwing two costly interceptions in the fateful game against the 49ers before a bizarre final play that went absolutely nowhere.

Meanwhile, the season for the ageless Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is over, having lost to Prescott and the Cowboys the previous week in the Wild Card postseason round. Speculation continues to about as to Brady's future with the Bucs or even in the NFL, though despite his highly publicized divorce after making the call to un-retire at this time last year, he hasn't shown any indication of wanting to finally hang up the cleats.

Could there be any possibility of him joining forces with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys? Don't be surprised to see it happen, according to Boomer Esiason.

“Yeah, I just don’t see how [Cowboys move on from Prescott]. It would be great to see either Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers in a Dallas Cowboy uniform, but that [Rodgers] will never happen with Dallas because [the Packers] are going to want to send him to the AFC,” Esiason explained during a January 26, 2023 episode of “Boomer & Gio.” “And Tom Brady is a free agent, there’s a possibility. Could you imagine Jerry Jones and Tom Brady?”

However, the likelihood of that happening is relatively small, considering that Prescott has two years remaining on his hefty $160 million contract. And at 46 years of age, he's not getting any younger and also showed his age at plenty of times during this past season.

It certainly would be an odd sight to see Brady in Cowboys colors, however.
