Cardinals WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown arrested for criminal speeding

This wasn't his finest moment.

Arizona Cardinals running back Marquise Brown didn't exercise the greatest of judgement when he decided to have too much of a lead foot in his vehicle. He was arrested early Wednesday morning at about 7 a.m. after driving in a carpool lane on the Loop 101 in Phoenix and charged with criminal speeding.

While details of the case weren't released, here is a bit of reference as to what constitutes criminal speeding in Arizona:

- Exceeding 85 MPH
- Exceeding the posted speed limit by 20 MPH
- Exceeding 35 MPH approaching a school zone

Brown spent the first three years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens, posing a career high 1,008 receiving yards with six touchdowns last season. He was dealt to Arizona this past April along with a third-round draft pick in exchange for a first round pick.

“We are aware of the situation regarding Hollywood Brown and have reported it to the NFL office as required. We will comment further as appropriate,” the Cardinals said in a statement, via ArizonaSports.com.
