Colin Kaepernick throwing for NFL scouts at Michigan's Spring Game

Will he ultimately get another shot?

Michael W.

He still wants another shot in the NFL, and though he's reportedly been turned down by the Seattle Seahawks, he's continuing his quest to return to the professional ranks.

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who hasn't played in the NFL since suiting up for the San Francisco 49ers during the 2016 NFL season, threw for NFL scouts in Ann Arbor, MI during halftime of the University of Michigan Wolverines Spring Game.

Of course, he has a connection to Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, who coached Kaepernick with the 49ers.

Kaepernick became synonymous with social justice reform when, as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, knelt during the national anthem in 2016 to protest police brutality and social inequality. Kaepernick has not seen NFL action since January of 2017 with 49ers. He opted out of his contract in March 2017 and has has been a free-agent ever since.

Of course, it wasn't too long ago that he participated a much-hyped workout in an attempt to make a return to the pro stage. And despite several teams reportedly showing interest, none took a waiver on him. He also missed out on a chance to join the XLF, as they balked at his reported salary demands.
