Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin has interviewed for the wide receivers coach position, according to the team's website.
Austin currently works in the team's scouting department. The Cowboys did not renew the contract of former wide receivers coach Derek Dooley, who accepted the offensive coordinator position at Missouri.
Austin had some great years over his eight years in Dallas. Twice he went to the Pro Bowl (2009-10), and once he led the entire NFC in receiving yards (2009).
He set a franchise record with 250 receiving yards in a win over the Chiefs during that 2009 season. After eight seasons with the Cowboys, he played for the Browns in 2014 and the Eagles in 2015.
It’s uncertain when the Cowboys will decide on a replacement for Dooley, said the team's website.
