Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard suffered a devastating leg injury during last night's postseason loss against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi Stadium, and he'll be undergoing surgery.

He suffered a broken fibula late in the 2nd quarter during a Cowboys drive, and had to be carted off the field; he was also fitted for an air cast beforehand. The nature of the extent of his injury wasn't revealed until afterward.

Prior to his injury, Pollard had six carries for 22 yards and two catches for 11 yards.

This year with the Cowboys, Pollard racked up 1,007 yards on 193 carries and nine touchdowns. He also hauled in 39 passes for 371 yards and three receiving touchdowns. This was also the last season of his four year, $3.2 million rookie deal.
