Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs address their trash talking

War of the words?

It's just the nature of sports that there are going to be disagreements and even sometimes confrontations between two teammates during a practice session. After all, we're talking about the best of the best in the world in the heat of competition - sometimes, tempers can flare.

The same happened at a recent Dallas Cowboys practice session in which star cornerback Trevon Diggs appeared to be jawing at quarterback Dak Prescott. But they wanted to make sure that nobody reads too much into that, with Diggs saying that Prescott is his "brother".

“Stay out of (our) business,” Diggs said of the criticism. “Stay out of it. People don’t need to worry about what we’ve got going on — our relationship, my relationship with my brother, or how we operate. At the end of the day, it’s our team and Dak is the leader of our team.”

Prescott, who has been teammates with Diggs the past three seasons, admitted that sometimes he starts with the trash talking.

"I might honestly talk the most," Prescott told reporters Thursday in a news conference. "I start a lot of it. I open the door and make people feel comfortable."

All of this should work well into the Cowboys getting the most out of one another as they prepare for the 2023 NFL season! It won't be long before the official schedule starts - but first, there's preseason. The Cowboys will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 12 for their first action of the year before the real fun begins on September 10 at MetLife Stadium.
