While not everyone from the 2022 Dallas Cowboys squad will be back on the team this fall, there will be one player deemed important enough by team management to warrant a second go around.
The Cowboys have made the call to re-sign 30 year old defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins. According to reports, the new contract is a one-year deal worth approximately $1.5 million.
Originally acquired by the Cowboys in an October 2022 trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, Hankins appeared in five games with Dallas before being felled by an injury that kept him on injured reserve for the rest of the year.
