Damar Hamlin's charity reaches record numbers!
What an amazing show of generosity.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has returned home to continue his recovery from his shocking cardiac arrest nearly two weeks ago on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals; the game was put on hold as paramedics desperately worked on him with CPR and an AED device before being rushed to the hospital via ambulance.
The great news is that Hamlin's health has improved enough for him to have been sent back to Buffalo, and eventually discharged from the hospital. He even spoke to his teammates over video chat. But in the meantime, there's even more good news to be shared, and it shows the generosity of all those who were clearly affected by the horrifying site on the field.
Hamlin's charity Chasing M’s Foundation, which was originally set up to help underprivileged children, has seen incredible numbers to the tune of nearly $9 million dollars after originally starting out at just $2,500.
“We’re simply awestruck by the level of support and generosity we’ve seen over the past two days,” read a statement from the foundation on the GoFundMe page. “With over $6 million raised, this fundraiser has become an overnight reminder of the incredible nature of humankind. Your actions directly reflect the type of human Damar is himself. ... We’re hopeful about Damar’s future involvement in disbursing the incredibly generous contributions.”
It certainly is great to see the amazing things that can be accomplished when differences are set aside and people come together to support an incredibly worthy cause. What was nearly a terrible tragedy has truly turned into a great positive!
