Emmitt Smith rips ex-Cowboys OC Kellen Moore

He didn't mince words.

The Dallas Cowboys and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore mutually parted ways last month, and it was announced that it would be head coach Mike McCarthy taking over the offensive play calls for next season. In the meantime, the Cowboys have still made the call to hire a new offensive coordinator in Brian Schottenheimer.

And while quarterback Dak Prescott has voiced his displeasure with the move, one former member of the Cowboys announced that he wasn't exactly fond of Moore.

Emmitt Smith had this to say about Moore's time with the Cowboys, a position he had held since 2019:

“Under Kellen, I think we were just calling damn plays just to be calling plays…. We weren’t building on anything.”

“There was nothing that established this that made sense to play off of that, and then go to here and here. It was just play calling, and every now and then we were going to throw in a little trick play. And the trick play would work sometime, and then sometimes it won’t and it would be a wasted play. Losing momentum, gaining momentum, it was just too much,” the former Cowboy stated.

Do you agree with Smith, or is he being too hard on Moore, who is now the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers?
