Following their 8-9 record in the 2022 NFL regular season and postseason exit at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making big changes to their coaching staff.

They've dismissed offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, who spent four seasons on the job. Additionally, they parted ways with running backs coach Todd McNair and assistant defensive line coach Lori Locust. Meanwhile, three more coaches retired, including Clyde Christensen.

The news was first reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, and then confirmed by the Buccaneers in a statement made by head coach Todd Bowles.

"We appreciate the hard work and contributions that all of these coaches made to our successes over the past four seasons," Bowles said in a statement. "As a collective group, we did not meet the high standards that had been set for this past year and my focus now is on doing what is needed to ensure a successful 2023 season. These were very difficult decisions but something that I felt was necessary for our football team going forward."

It certainly will be a different look for the Bucs next season, especially considering the major move that aging quarterback Tom Brady is expected to make in moving on to a different team.
