Ezekiell Elliott talks return to Dallas
He'll be back in town this weekend.

The Ezekiel Elliott era with the Dallas Cowboys that began in 2016 officially came to an end this summer, as he agreed to a free agent contract with the New England Patriots.
He was cut by the Cowboys earlier this offseason, but the team left the door open for a potential return while he fielded interest from other NFL clubs. And while there was reported mutual interest between him and the New York Jets, he ultimately decided to sign with the Pats after a successful meeting with them.
This weekend, he'll return to AT&T Stadium as a member of the opposition for the first time in his career, and he admitted that it will be a "weird" feeling.
"I don't know what I'm necessarily expecting," Elliott said this week. "It's definitely going to be weird, just being in a different uniform, being in a different locker room. But I think it's going to be a good experience."
"But life is life," Elliott said of being cut by Dallas. "It is what it is. It was on me to get back on the horse. You can't let negatives weigh you down. You gotta take a negative and turn it into a positive. And that's what I'm working to do."
And while there is sure to be cheers for him in his return, he can't let the emotions of the occasion weigh him down and distract him from his upcoming job on the field.
"I mean, I don't have that much time to be too emotional,"Elliott said. "I've got to prepare for a game. I've got to go out and put my best foot forward. I mean, there are emotions. I may do a good job of kind of hiding them but there will be some emotions."
He departed Dallas with 8,262 rushing yards and 68 rushing touchdowns, both of which rank 3rd overall in team history.
