Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers noticed that wide receiver George Pickens recently purged his social media accounts of anything related to the NFL team that he plays for, sparking concerns that he could soon be out the door.

It also didn't help that he posted, "Free me" on his Instagram Story.

However, in the words of Pickens himself, it was nothing for fans to be concerned about.

"Just clearing out my page, scrubbing it, not too crazy," Pickens said Wednesday. "Got nothing to do with the Steelers at all."

"All I can keep doing is just keep working to be honest," Pickens said. "I can’t really express [frustration publicly] anymore, but I can just keep working. That’s it."

Meanwhile, head coach Mike Tomlin also stated that it was a "non-issue".

"He wants to be a reason why we're successful," Tomlin said in reference to Pickens. "I don't begrudge that. "I want guys who want the football. I want guys who want to be central reasons why we're successful. That's a non-issue to be quite honest with you."

Pickens and the Steelers will be hosting the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium this Sunday.
