Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was in critical condition after the frightening incident that took place earlier this month on Monday Night Football in which he collapsed after undergoing cardiac arrest; he required CPR and the use of an AED to resume his heart rhythm before he was rushed via ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The great news is that he's since been discharged from the hospital and continued his recuperation at home; he's also communicated with his teammates and also made an appearance at their postseason game last week at Highmark Stadium, which the Bills unfortunately lost.
However, according to controversial former MLB player Aubrey Huff, rumors of Hamlin's improving health have been greatly exaggerated. In fact, Huff tweeted his belief that Hamlin is either deceased or "in really bad shape".
“Isn’t it weird that @BuffaloBills Damar Hamlin was the biggest story for two weeks,” Huff posted on Twitter on Saturday. “Now we have media silence. Not a social media post from him, picture, or live video. Somethings fishy. @NFL is either covering up his death, or he’s in bad shape.”]
Hamlin himself would clap back at the silly accusation on Twitter himself with this classic response:
It's truly unfortunate that there are those who are attempting to use what was nearly a horrific tragedy to further their own bizarre conspiracy fantasies, but that's the world we live in.
In the meantime, we're going to continue to hope and pray for Hamlin's continued recovery.
