The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers are longtime NFC North rivals, and they'll be getting together this weekend in what will be a pivotal matchup that could determine playoff seeding.
The Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have traditionally gotten the better of Detroit, who have won a single playoff game since color television became a regular thing. However, after a 1-6 start to the year, Detroit has rebounded nicely to get back to the .500 mark.
And one particular member of the organization is sounding off on Rodgers. Needless to say, he's not a fan of the reigning two-time NFL MVP.
“The way he carries himself, I don’t like none of that s**t," said Detroit's DeShon Elliott. "A-Rod doesn't respect us, that team doesn't respect us...We're going to fight our ass off, play smashmouth football, just 'cause of the respect factor. Like, we all got here someway, somehow. Ya, he's a Hall-of-Famer, but I just don't respect the way he's been talking"
"Bro, you respect everybody in this league. And for you to see something or hear someone say some wild stuff about you or your teammates or your brothers, shoot, what are you going to do? Are you going to lay down or stand up? So we're going to go out there and stand up."
The two rivals will kick-off Sunday night at 8:20 PM EST.
