Really? That's it?

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has come under fire for misleading the media with regards to his immunization status against COVID-19. He recently tested positive for the illness and missed their most recent game against the Kansas City Chiefs, while backup Jordan Love got his first career start.

The NFL soon launched an investigation into Rodgers and the Packers, and have announced punishment for both the quarterback and the team. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Packers have been fined $300K; meanwhile, Rodgers (as well as WR Allen Lazard) have each been fined $14,650.

Additionally, the NFL has warned the Packers that further violations could result in harsher punishment, including the potential loss of draft picks.

Both Rodgers and Lazard attended the team Halloween party while unvaccinated; current NFL health and safety protocols ban unvaccinated players from gathering any more than three at a time outside of the team training facility.

“The Club was fully cooperative in the investigation into violations of the collectively bargained NFL-NFLPA protocols,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told PFT.
