Packers' Romeo Doubs honored by NFL

A well-deserved honor!

Michael W.

It was a Sunday to remember for Green Bay Packers rookie Romeo Doubs, and he's being recognized by the NFL for his efforts.

The first year wideout hauled in eight passes for 73 yards that included his 1st career touchdown during Sunday's 14-12 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he's been named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 3 of the 2022 season. In doing so, he becomes the 1st Packers rookie to win the award since Jamaal Williams (Week 14, 2017).

He bested the likes of Jaguars linebacker Devin Lloyd, Saints receiver Chris Olave, Texans running back Dameon Pierce, Texans safety Jalen Pitre and Colts tight end Jelani Woods for the honor.

His eight receptions were the most in team history since Gerry Ellis in 1980, and the second most in franchise history for a rookie since Max McGee's nine catches in 1954.
