Report: Baker Mayfield's future decided

Not many people believed that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be able to enjoy success after the retirement of Tom Brady and the subsequent acquisition of Baker Mayfield as his replacement.
However, Mayfield enjoyed a successful year with the Buccaneers, registering career highs in passing yards (4,044) and passing touchdowns (28).
He then helped them defeat the reigning NFC-champion Philadelphia Eagles at home in the NFL wild-card round and advance to the NFL Divisional playoff round before they ultimately fell to the Detroit Lions. And it looks as though the Bucs have decided to extend their relationship.
According to reports, the Bucs and Mayfield have agreed on a three year contract extension:
At least $50 million is guaranteed, and the deal is worth a reported $115 million total. Are the Bucs making the right call by extending Mayfield?
