Could a native Pennsylvania son find his way home?

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who is now forever known for surviving one of the most frightening moments in sports history last year after suffering cardiac arrest on the field, has voiced his desire to suit up

After having played at Central Catholic High School, Hamlin played collegiately with Pitt and would eventually be taken in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 212th overall pick by Buffalo.

And according to the man himself, he would experience a "dream come true" if he were able to play for the Steelers.

“I think ending my career, finishing, as a Pittsburgh Steeler would be a dream," Hamlin said. "I played at Pitt so you know I was in the stadium. I played at Heinz Field probably for like eight years straight between WPIAL championships and Pitt so a dream come true would be finishing my career as a Steeler.”

As you may remember, Hamlin was in critical condition after the scary incident that took place early last January on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals in which he collapsed after undergoing cardiac arrest; he required CPR and the use of an AED to resume his heart rhythm before he was rushed via ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The rest of the game was postponed.
