It's the reality of professional sports with a salary cap that not every squad is going to be able to look the same from year to year. And it looks as though the Pittsburgh Steelers could fall victim to that reality.

According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, the Steelers could consider trading wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who is entering the final year of his current contract that will see him get paid a total of $15.83 million.

“Is Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Diontae Johnson on the trading block? The short answer is possibly, if the price is right.” Pauline wrote. “…While it’s not fair to say Johnson is on the trading block, several people tell me the Steelers are open to moving the receiver if they receive fair compensation.”

Last season, Johnson amassed a total of 51 catches for 717 yards and five touchdowns. However, he missed multiple games last season due to injury.

Johnson also drew considerable criticism during a game earlier last season when he gave almost no effort following a fumble by teammate Jaylen Warren against the Cincinnati Bengals, an action that he apologized for to his teammates later in the locker room.

"I addressed the situation to them,” Johnson said. “To my teammates, and I know how they feel. I know how I should go about the situation next time when it occurs. I just owned up to it. I’m not perfect. All I can do is move forward and keep playing football.”

Steelers fans, how would you feel about trading Johnson?
