Report: Steelers players want Matt Canada fired

Pittsburgh's offense hasn't been great this year.

The Pittsburgh Steelers simply haven't had a good offensive showing through the first three weeks of the 2022 NFL season, and currently sit with a pedestrian 1-2 record.

And among the chief area of concern for the team amongst the fan base and pundits alike not only is the play of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, but the play calling of offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Could the latter's time in his position be soon coming to a close?

And according to Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan, host Josh Rowntree has stated that the majority of Steelers players on the offensive side of the ball would like to see maligned offensive coordinator Matt Canada be given his walking papers.

"Award winning reporter @JRown32 on @937theFan says the majority of Steelers offensive players want Matt Canada fired," said Andrew Fillipponi. "

Wide receiver Chase Claypool made this thoughts clear during a recent interview, saying that he doesn't know if the team offense even has an identity.

“I don’t know if we have an identity,” Claypool said Monday, via 93.7 The Fan.

The Steelers host the New York Jets this Sunday at Acrisure Stadium.
