As the 2022 NFL season slowly but surely creeps closer, each squad and their management is currently working towards trimming their rosters in order to get to the 53 man limit.

Yesterday afternoon featured a mandate from the NFL for each team to be down to 85 players, and the Steelers were no exception. And now, there are five players gone from the roster.

The players that the Steelers parted ways with are as follows: DT Doug Costin, OT Jake Dixon, P Cameron Nizialek, and C Chris Owen. Meanwhile, WR Anthony Miller and S Karl Joseph were moved to the IR.

Additionally, G William Dunkle has been inked to a contract.
