It's an unwritten rule in sports circles that one simply does not step on the team logo on the locker room floor, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are taking that a step further!

At the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, the team logo in the locker room has now been protected by the placing of stanchions around it.

It was safety Minkah Fitzpatrick who came up with the idea, saying that it's good to take pride in things like that.

"At the end of the day, we used to take pride in little stuff like that," he said. "I'm a guy that likes order, and I believe that when you allow one thing to slip, everything else starts to slip."

Patrick Peterson also echoed Fitzpatrick's sentiments, talking about how the team has gotten more detailed with things like specific bins for laundry, jerseys, towels, hoodies, etc.

"Little things go a long way in this league," Peterson said. "You never know what little detail may show up in the game that other teams may look over that you execute at a high level, and that's what it's all about. Just having guys understand that the little things do matter."
