The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped their matchup this afternoon at Acrisure Stadium against the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars by a 20-10 final score, once again raising concerns about their offensive struggles under coordinator Matt Canada. Their record is now 4-3 through seven games, while the Jaguars improved to 6-2.

But also taking place during the game were a series of missed calls that hampered the Steelers, so much that wide receiver Diontae Johnson stated that he believes that officials were paid to help the Jaguars win.

“They cost us the game,” Johnson said about the referees. “They wanted them to win, they was calling, everything was in their favor. They were getting every little call. But it is what it is,” a furious Johnson said in the locker room afterward.

Among the missed calls were a blatant roughing the passer flag on Jaguars DE Adam Gotsis on Kenny Pickett which knocked him out of the rest of the game, along with a questionable call on Steelers safety Keanu Neal.

“They must have got paid good today, or something, but that field goal, that hurt us. Coming into the half, we needed that,” Johnson said. “That field goal hurt us. They was calling some stupid stuff. They should get fined for calling that, for making worse, terrible calls, stuff like that. That’s how pissed I am.”

“I’m moving on from it. I’m ready for Thursday,” he concluded.

The Steelers are now moving on to face the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football.
