Tom Brady addresses potential retirement
Is Brady's career finally finished?
The Football Feed
The season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is over following their NFL Wild Card round postseason loss to Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys last night at Raymond James Stadium.
And of course, the attention immediately turned to the status of 46 year old quarterback Tom Brady and his future plans. He's in the final year of his contract with the Bucs, and speculation has been building that he could join the likes of the Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers, or Tennessee Titans next season.
That is if he decides to keep playing. He might as well, given the fact that breaking up his family with a highly publicized divorce late last year after he decided to un-retire and return to action wasn't enough to make him think twice about finally hanging up the cleats.
So, what did he have to say about his immediate future plans after last night's game?
"Just feels like the end of the season," he began. And then he continued, unbidden, thanking the media. "I love this organization. It's a great place to be. Thank you, everybody, for welcoming me."
"They played good defensively and put a lot of pressure on us," Brady said of the Cowboys. "We just couldn't make enough plays. So it was kind of typical of the way we played all year, just inefficient in the passing game and not very good in the running game. So it's hard to beat good teams like that."
We're certainly going to keep our eyes peeled at what Brady does.
