Is this the next Cowboys quarterback?
The Football Feed
The Dallas Cowboys are set for the time being at the quarterback position, as Dak Prescott remains under contract through the 2024 NFL season. But could they have his potential replacement in mind?
With the 2023 NFL Draft upcoming, there has been speculation that the Cowboys could elect to take a quarterback with their pick. And according to one NFL analyst, they're "intrigued" by a certain member of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Per Sports Illustrated, the Cowboys have their eyes on Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud:
"I don't know the 'how,''' the source said. "But (Dallas is) absolutely intrigued by Stroud.''
The first ever two-time Heisman Trophy finalist in school history, Stroud finished last season with 3,688 yards passing, 41 touchdowns, and just six interceptions.
Right now, the Cowboys hold the 26th overall selection in the Draft. Could they stun fans everywhere by trading up to have a chance to select Stroud?
