What was reported on earlier today has now officially become official.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dallas Cowboys are cutting ties with Ezekiel Elliott, ending an era in the Lone Star State that began in 2016 after he was selected out of Ohio State University with the 4th overall pick. He departs Dallas third all time in team history in rushing yards behind that of Emmitt Smith and Tony Dorset.
The 27 year old running back racked up career lows in 2022 in rushing attempts (231), rush yards (876) and rushing average (3.8).
