The Pittsburgh Steelers are fresh off a much-needed victory over the Carolina Panthers in which Mitchell Trubisky got the start under center due to Kenny Pickett having been in concussion protocol.
But the good news for Steelers fans is that for their critical matchup on Christmas Eve against the Las Vegas Raiders, they'll once again have Pickett starting.
According to head coach Mike Tomlin, Pickett is in line to play on Saturday night.
"As far as Kenny Pickett, I think the concussion component of where he is is behind us," Tomlin said. "I think he has to check a box procedurally but, if we were to practice today, he would be a full participant."
Tomlin also had words of kindness for Trubisky, who scored a rushing touchdown while also completing 17 of 22 passes for 179 yards over the course of the afternoon.
"He did a really good job of taking care of the ball and playing within the game plan and planned approach that we have prescribed for that opponent," Tomlin said. "He should be congratulated for that
