Rob Gronkowski takes subtle jab at New England Patriots!

Honesty is refreshing!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski is always good for a quote - even if it comes at the expense of his former team.

Of course, Gronkowski won multiple Super Bowls playing alongside the legendary Tom Brady when the pair were with the New England Patriots. They're both now in sunny Tampa, and won yet another title together in their first year playing with their new squad. And after an albeit brief retirement, Brady announced his intention to return next season. While Gronkowski hasn't made anything official, there's a good chance he could return as well.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gronkowski took a subtle jab at the Patriots, saying that he likely wouldn't have been able to obtain a cash bonus due to performance incentives on the field had he still been a member of their team.

"Yes, I've seen it before actually," he said. "Not with the Patriots, though. They'll probably pull you before you hit that bonus there."

He then laughed before saying, "I shouldn't have said that."

Gronkowski earned a $1 million bonus in Tampa's regular season finale last season, and video of him and Brady discussing the play that earned Gronkowski the bonus went viral:
