After two years of the failed Russell Wilson experiment, the Denver Broncos were in need of a new starting quarterback after he departed for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This afternoon, they swung a trade with the New York Jets to acquire Zach Wilson in exchange for draft picks:
Smith was taken with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Jets, and has thrown for a total of 2,271 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
