Detroit Lions manage to reach embarrassing new low [VIDEO]
This is a microcosm of Lions football.

It's no secret that the Detroit Lions haven't exactly been among the NFL's most successful franchises. In fact, with one playoff victory in their history since Dwight Eisenhower was POTUS, Detroit remains a punching bag for fans and media alike.
This afternoon against the Chicago Bears, the 0-3 Lions managed to once again clown themselves. Center Frank Ragnow snapped the ball right as quarterback Jared Goff was stepping to the line to make an adjustment. The ball landed safely in the arms of Chicago's Bilal Nichols, ending a prime opportunity for the Lions to get their first points on the board.
Of course, this comes on the heels of dropping last week's game against the Baltimore Ravens thanks to an NFL-record 66 yard field goal from Justin Tucker.
It seems that there is always something new every week that makes Lions fans want to reach for the brown paper bag to place over their heads, and this afternoon provided yet another example.
