Ex-Cowboys QB's son arrested on child porn charges

The son of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Jon Kitna has been arrested and jailed on charges distribution of child exploitation material and three counts of possession of child pornography.

Jalen Kitna, who is the backup quarterback for the University of Florida Gators, appeared in court earlier this morning, and has been cut from the football program. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison along with a $10,000 fine. 

"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the news involving Jalen Kitna," the University of Florida Athletic Association said in a statement. "These are extremely serious charges and the University of Florida and the UAA have zero tolerance for such behavior."

Kitna has appeared in four games for the Gators this season, completing 10 of 14 passes for 181 yards along with one touchdown.
