Jerry Jones shares true thoughts on Ezekiel Elliott

Do you agree with this assessment of Zeke?

There have been multiple rumors circulating of late that the Dallas Cowboys could be interested in bringing back former franchise fan favorite Ezekiel Elliott, who was released by the team early last year and spent the 2023 season playing with the New England Patriots.

Needless to say, it's caused plenty of fan reaction while an official announcement and decision by team management has yet to be made.

Speaking of Cowboys management, team owner and general manager Jerry Jones raised more than a few eyebrows with his most recent comments regarding Elliott, stating his belief that he can still be a starting running back in today's NFL.

“As recent as the end of the year, I saw Zeke play and I’ll tell you, he’s good enough to be a starter," Jones said.

Elliott isn't the player that starred for years with the Cowboys. Last season with the Patriots, he racked up 642 rushing yards along with three rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he scored two receiving touchdowns while racking up  313 receiving yards.

"First of all, the draft's not over and that's a thought," Jones said earlier in the week. "And it was a long time before a running back was taken in today's draft. But we also are keenly interested in seeing what the future might look like with Zeke."

Cowboys fans, should Elliott be seriously considered for a return to Dallas, or should the team allow the page they turned with his release in 2023 to remain as is?
