The Dallas Cowboys dropped their first game last night - but the good news was that it's pre-season, and essentially just a dress rehearsal for the main event to come next month when the real fun begins. In fact, the majority of Cowboys players who hit the field at AT&T Stadium won't be playing with the team this year, as most of the starters were given the night off.

The visiting Jacksonville Jaguars would emerge victorious, winning by a 28-23 final score.

And for head coach Mike McCarthy, who will also be the one calling plays on the offensive side of the ball despite the hire of Brian Schottenheimer, he likened last night's game to riding a bike in terms of preparation.

“I would say a lot of it’s like riding a bike,’’ McCarthy said. “It’s natural. It was fun to prepare for a game again.

“It wasn’t clean. I’ve got a number of things we’ll talk about as a staff.’’

The Cowboys will next take the field in the Pacific Northwest when they pay a visit to Lumen Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, August 19. Game time is slated for 10:00 PM EST.
