That's disappointing for Cowboys fans.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that the Dallas Cowboys could have serious interest in Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, especially combined with having released fan favorite and former 1st round draft selection Ezekiel Elliott earlier this year. A key reinforcement at the running back position would certainly make sense for the Cowboys, considering the fact that Tony Pollard is continuing his offseason recovery from a devastating leg injury.

However, the dreams that Cowboys fans had of Henry suiting up for them will apparently go unfulfilled. In fact, it now appears as though Henry will be joining a bitter Cowboys divisional rival.

Philly Sports Network's Bryan Cameron had this to say on the "trail of breadcrumbs", especially after the massive extension for QB Jalen Hurts:

"Could there be truth to this rumor? Absolutely," he wrote of Henry joining the Eagles. "With many teams cutting players and moving on from their big contracts. It would be in the Eagles’ best interest to make a move like this to help secure their offense. While they don’t need a big-name running back in the backfield, the fact of the matter is that they need to win now more than ever after extending Jalen Hurts."

Additionally, there's this:

Last season, Henry racked up 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns.
