Yesterday afternoon may have been the low point for the Denver Broncos, who dropped to 0-3 in 2023 with what was their most embarrassing setback in recent memory.

Denver was torched for 70 points by the Miami Dolphins, the second most points ever scored in NFL history. Needless to say, the Broncos are not having the kind of season they hoped for in after the hiring of Sean Payton as head coach and the necessity for Russell Wilson to bounce back from a poor first year in Denver.

And for Payton, his frustration was obvious afterward when he got into a heated exchange with a reporter who asked how he felt about the historic loss.

“I’m aware. What’s the question?” barked Payton, via Henry McKenna of Fox Sports. “What’s the question? I just finished telling you. Next question.”

“It’d be one thing for us to say, ‘hey, we’re going to get onto the next game,’ but we have to watch that tape. Tomorrow will be tough for a lot of players, tough for us too as coaches,” Payton continued.

The Broncos will have the chance to right the ship when they head to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears in Week 4 at Soldier Field.
