You can bet that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diaontae Johnson, who is entering the final year of his contract, has no doubt seen the trade rumors that he's been involved with of late.
Recently, it was revealed that the Steelers are reportedly considering trading Johnson if the return price is right. Naturally, that can weigh on a player's mind - especially given the uncertainty of the situation. But it looks as though right now, he's choosing to control the things that he's able to.
He sent a few cryptic tweets out on social media, including "People just be talkin," "Let that old [emoji] stay in the past," and "It is what it is."
Last season, Johnson amassed a total of 51 catches for 717 yards and five touchdowns. However, he missed multiple games last season due to injury.
Johnson also drew considerable criticism during a game earlier last season when he gave almost no effort following a fumble by teammate Jaylen Warren against the Cincinnati Bengals, an action that he apologized for to his teammates later in the locker room.
