Steelers QB Kenny Pickett: “F**k that!”
Strong words from the Steelers quarterback!
The Football Feed
The Pittsburgh Steelers had themselves a new starting quarterback in the form of 1st round draft pick Kenny Pickett, who took over from the struggling veteran Mitchell Trubisky earlier in the 2022 NFL season.
And while it wasn't completely smooth sailing, Pickett rebounded nicely in order to lead the Steelers on the verge of a postseason spot. Unfortunately, despite the winning record of 9-8, the Steelers would fall just short of qualifying for the postseason and had to watch from home.
There are often several NFL players who will decide to attend the Super Bowl in order to get a taste of the experience and potentially use it to hype themselves up to perform better so that they can eventually participate in the event themselves sometime in the future. But don't expect Pickett to ever do that - unless he's playing in the game.
Steel Here podcast co-hosts Kevin Adams and Barstool Sports' Jersey Jerry recently had dinner with the Steelers quarterback, and asked him if he'd ever attend the Super Bowl if he and his teammates weren't participants.
"Nah, f**k that," he reportedly said. "The only time I'm going to that game is when we play in it."
Hey, no doubt that will fire up the fans in Pittsburgh!
