The Philadelphia Eagles are officially off to their 4th Super Bowl appearance in franchise history, having taken down the San Francisco 49ers yesterday at Lincoln Financial Field. And needless to say, it was a rowdy atmosphere both in the stands and on the streets.

However, some fans clearly took things a bit too far, as video captured a group of Eagles fans throwing eggs in the direction of 49ers fans:

Considering the skyrocketing prices of basic items like eggs these days, it seems like a strange choice to be wasting them as projectiles against opposition fans.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni certainly appreciates the passion of the fan base who turn their home venue into a hostile and intimidating environment:

"Our crowd inspires us, our crowd makes it difficult for the opposing team.. they are hostile," he said. "I knew that as being an opposing coach coming here, how intimidating it can be. They’ll make life difficult, no doubt, for this team that’s coming in here because who they are as fans. It’s gonna be loud, we’ll feed off that."
