Brittany Mahomes appears to turn on Jackson Mahomes

The controversial brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is in serious legal trouble, and could be facing prison time. Jackson Mahomes was arrested earlier this month on three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of battery. 

And now Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Patrick who has garnered plenty of criticism of her own over the years, appears to be turning on her brother in law. 

“As you get older you start to understand the difference between friends and associates, family and blood, business and work, love and lust, want and need. And most of all what’s important and what’s not,” one quote from Matthews’ post on Instagram read.

“Unfortunately, a lot of y’all met me when I lacked boundaries and was a people pleaser. Let me reintroduce myself, I burn bridges as needed,” another slide from her post read. 

Last month, however, she staunchly defended him during an Instagram Q+A session.

“They are ignorant,” Matthews wrote in her response to people criticizing him. “He is a human just trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s–t about him. 

“So it’s best to just shut up.”

According to a recently released affidavit, the victim of Jackson Mahomes' sexual battery said he “grabbed [Vaughn] by the throat, forcing her head back and kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth” and then instructed her not to tell anyone.
