Well, this wouldn't be an ideal situation for the Dallas Cowboys as they look for their sixth victory of the 2022 NFL season.

Running back Ezekiel Elliott, one of the most important dynamics in the Cowboys offensive attack, suffered an MCL sprain in his right knee and a thigh bruise after taking a sizable hit from Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph this past weekend, and has been listed as doubtful to suit up this weekend when Dallas hosts the Chicago Bears at AT&T Stadium.

Prior to his injury, Elliott had amassed 57 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

However, playing through an injury is nothing new to Elliott, as he played through an injured PCL last season.

"I don't know right now," he said via the team’s website. "We still have a lot of time before Sunday. But right now, we're just focused on getting me as healthy as I can."

"I believe my team needs me out there. I think pain is temporary, and I need to be out there with my guys. So, that's the priority. … It's my job to be out there and be available.

The Cowboys take on the Bears this Sunday starting at 1:00 PM EST.
